This is my friend, Leah. ❤ She is a Registered Massage Therapist and single mom to a beautiful, busy 7 year old girl. We bond over our love of the mountains, hiking, and the outdoors in general! She’s also super into dirt biking + baking so really, she’s the whole package 😉
Like me, Leah has struggled with anxiety and depression for a lot of years and, as a natural people pleaser and worrier, she was burning herself out trying to manage everything in her life while keeping everyone else happy. She slipped into some bad fitness + nutrition habits and it was making her mental health even worse.
In January of this year, Leah & I connected over social media. She told me about her passion to help people live happier, healthier, lives and how she has dreams to use her RMT skills to help those in retirement communities, or with low income status, find relief from pain. I saw such an incredible heart, and potential, in this girl and I knew she’d be an amazing fit for my virtual health coaching team.
Now, Leah’s been able calm her anxiety and battle my depression in a more positive way through fitness, personal development, and daily meditation. She says, “Coaching has given me a better outlook on life. It has let me expand my knowledge and open up as a person.”
Because she works full time and has a busy schedule with her daughter, she’s had to learn how to make her part time coaching business work for her and she’s developed some amazing skills to help her work towards her big goals to create a vacation fund for herself + her daughter and making this her full time income.
I asked her what becoming a coach has taught her, and here’s what she had to say:
“Coaching has opened my eyes to the fact you have to work for what you want. I had to work all through school and continue to do so this business isn’t any different from that.
I have also learned that I am a pretty amazing GEM!
I have learned to love myself and continue to have to keep that mind set for who I am inside. Accept my flaws and know it’s what makes me who I am… And that I should be proud I am not a cookie cut out. My journey will and has inspired others and I inspire myself!
Leah, I am SO proud of the hard work you’ve put into your health journey, your business, and your personal growth. You are an incredible mother, a hard AF worker, and I’m so beyond pumped that we get to build our businesses together! ~ M
